Christmas light installation · Oviedo, Seminole County
Christmas light installation in Oviedo, FL
Roof It hangs professional Christmas lights on Oviedo homes, from older houses near the historic downtown to newer neighborhoods and townhomes. Roof-safe clips only, no nails, and every display plugs into your existing outdoor outlets.
Old Oviedo and new Oviedo
Oviedo’s downtown grew in the late 1800s and early 1900s around citrus and celery, and several buildings and houses there are on the National Register of Historic Places. Since the University of Central Florida opened to the south, the city has added many newer neighborhoods, and the Oviedo on the Park town center added townhouses and apartments.
That mix changes the job. An older house may have original wood trim and a simpler roofline, so we use clips that leave the wood untouched. A newer two-story home may have several peaks worth outlining. A townhome usually needs the association’s OK first.
Oviedo also has a lot of big oaks; Hurricane Charley in 2004 showed how many there are when it brought them down across the city. We route strands clear of limbs that rest on or over the roof.
What we plan for in Oviedo
- No fasteners in older wood trim
- Peak and gable outlines on newer two-story homes
- Association approval first for townhomes
- Strands routed clear of oak limbs
- Clips matched to shingle, tile or metal
Hung by licensed roofers
Our roofers walk tile, shingle and metal without cracking or scuffing, use the right roof-safe clip for each roof with no nails, staples, adhesive or holes, and use proper ladders and fall protection so you stay on the ground. Roof It is a Florida licensed roofing contractor CCC1337225.
Insured crews. Roof It is insured for holiday lighting installs. Whoever you hire, ask for a certificate of insurance before anyone gets on a ladder. Why installer insurance matters.

Oviedo Christmas light questions
Do you hang lights on townhomes at Oviedo on the Park?
Often, yes, with your association’s approval, since the exterior is usually managed by the association. We work with the board or manager on the design and dates.
Our house is surrounded by oaks. Can you still light the roofline?
Usually. We plan the route around limbs and keep strands off branches that touch the roof. We do not trim trees, so heavy overhang may change the design.
Do you light trees?
Our focus is rooflines, trim and entries. Ask about trees, wreaths or garland and we will quote them on top if they fit the design.
What if I don’t have an outdoor outlet where the lights need to go?
Our lights plug into existing outdoor outlets only, and we do not do electrical work. We design around the outlets you have, or we can refer you to a licensed electrician if you want an outlet added.
